FINLAND WAR MOVING DOGFIGHT FINAL MAP
(Map had been modified to less low FPS near the bases. The AAA Cruisers are beem changed for more reasonable Destroyers close to Seiskari and Selesnevo)

ATTENTION - Read the rules and briefing or you will be lost.

It is a complex missions map planned for 12 hour duration. Read the brieffing before flight.
There is a big quantity and variation of targets to give you good options. Some targets are moving, then a mission will never be the same.

There is AI planes in flying to atack e defend targets. With Zuti Mod the AI pilots is very improved.

There is clues about target route in the briefing.

It is strong reccomended you plan your mission with company and support. It is very important to plan aproach and evasion routes to escape from heavy AAA.
AAA is very strong at most of targets.

Server Rules:

Planes are limited then take care on taxi, take off and landing.

Bases are targets, they are well defended by AAA and all enemy bases are far enough to avoid constant enemy presence over it, if it is under atack you have a choice to wait or take off from another place.

Like in real life  shooting a pilot in parachute is not a good ans ilegal behavior but in the end it is a pilot decision, all you need to remember is the fact you can be hanging in one soon and love with love is payed :) .

Ground planes are part of total planes then defend bases and take care on taxi.

Respect all pilots and avoid ofensive behavior in the chatbar.

It is allowed  base atacks and one of mission result important item is the limited number of pilots and planes.

Despite the some details are history based there are some licenses in name of a game balance,  use of 1944 planeset and RAF base at Finland Gulf (Seiskari)

==================================

Finland 1941.

Background.

The karelian Isthimus stay under russian´s hands. After the massive artillery barrage the Fins were forced to pull back to the Mannerheim line.

Stalin  was sure all he had to do was fire a few artillery rounds and the Finns would capitulate. Instead, they rejected his terms and resisted. There was a false sense of confidence on russian side; a few days would pass and he would polish off the Finns. But that didn't happen either. Many of russian troops were ground up by the Finns...Stalin lost his nerve after the defeat of Finland troops in the war against Finland. He probably lost whatever confidence he had that Finn´s army could cope with Hitler. Stalin never said so, but I came to this conclusion watching his behavior.

"We soon realized that we had bitten off more than we could chew. We found ourselves faced with good steel reinforced fortifications and effectively deployed artillery. The Mannerheim line was impregnable. Our casualties mounted alarmingly. In the winter it was decided to bypass the Karelian Isthmus and to strike a blow from Lake Ladoga to the north where there were no fortifications. But when we tried to strike from the rear, we found ourselves in an even more difficult situation than before. The Finns, who are a people of the North and very athletic, can ski almost before they can walk."

(Stalin)

When Hitler attacked the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941, Finland knew the Soviet Union would strike because Soviet diplomats had said on several occasions that in the event of war with Germany, the Soviet Union would immediately launch an offensive against Finland. After the unprovoked attack and siezure of Karelia by the Soviets, Finland had no illusions about the future aims of Stalin. For this reason, Finland allowed German troops on its soil, which made it difficult to claim neutrality. The Finnish government prepared a declaration of neutrality, but on June 22 and June 25, 1941 the Soviet air force dropped bombs on a number of towns in southern Finland. On June 25, the Finnish parliament declared that a state of war existed between Finland and the Soviet Union. The new war was called "Continuation War" by the Finns because Soviet Union broke the treaty of March, 1940, and continued the Winter War. Finland found herself alone again, and on the wrong side of the war. Hitler offered supplies, which Finland found hard to refuse under the circumstances. But the alliance was informal and Finland did not cooperate any more than necessary, and certainly not in turning over Jews to him as requested. The Finns knew what genocide was from experience, and wanted no part of it.
Finland did what it could to let food supplies through to Leningrad. Most of the nuisance was caused by Hitler's submarines in the North Sea. General Mannerheim himself said he did not want the blood of the Leningrad people on his hands.

Unlike Russia, Finland would not sign a formal alliance with Hitler, but was only a co-belligerent fighting to regain Karelia, which has special significance to the Finnish people, their identity. By attacking Finland, Stalin gave Hitler the confidence he needed to bring Barbarossa onto the Russian people, and forced Finland and any other country fighting Communism to fight with the Germans.

The War.

In order to regain Karelia Province Finland allow germans to use his territory and some airbases for supplies.

The russians and at Karelian Isthimus are stucked at  Mannerheim line and with the siege of Leningrado, by Germ BattleGroup North, there is no plans to great advances into Finland.

Germ BattleGroup North found a way into Gulf of Finland and now is a great threat to all coast allied forces and ilands bases.

===============================

Allied Targets.

1) The Britanic air base just received fighters, bombers and suplys at Seiskari Island Air Base to start operations at AX 11. The Germans will try to destroy that threat as highest priority. Defend it.
Attention: A RAF pilot stolen a 190 after been shotted down. That aircraft have the new radio navigation devices and radio codes. It is parked at RAF airbase being prepared to fly to London.  The HMA Duke of York and the HMS King Geaoge V BB are being refuelled at that base.

2)German Tallin Air Base, grounded planes and cargo train at AD5. The train will start to move at 12:30 heading to Kingisep carring supplies and armored units. Both, base and train are priority targets.

3)German industrial center at  Herttoniemi Industrial Sector of Helsinki. Be advised, almost impossible low level atack at this target. Many AA defense, heavy balons barrage and german air combat patrol. Sector AF14. Destroy it all.

4) Helsiki Airfield Base and grounded planes, hangars, tower, and big administration buildings. We had information that confirms a loaded train stoped at Station near the Helsinki Air Base, all at sector AF15. Infiltred inteligence agents reprted the train is being loaded and departure is being expected around 14:25.
Killing it at AF 15 will make its easier to find, but with more fighters around and heavy AAA from base.
The russians are sending a big battle group to atack Helsinki from the sea, it should be a good oportunity to syncronized air atack. The ships atack should start at ~ 1500.
There is a German Batle group entering the Finland Gulf, we suspect they are going to atack the iland air bases. If information are right they should be expect to reach  Seiskari around  16:00. We need to kill it before it arrives or the bases and all the equipment will be lost.

5) German strike force at BP 7 is begining to atack our positions, help our tanks at BO 7.3 and the fortified position at BP 7.1

6) Finns and Germans are concentrating artillery at heavily defended areas at BC17 and BD 17. Destroy it. They are arming V1 ramp bases at BD17 and it will be operative soon. Destroy it before it begins sending V1s to our bases. Infiltred agents related the V1s to be operative around 10:30 and has RAF and Russian bases as priority targets
Take Care, heavy defenses.

7) Russian Artillery  at are hitting hard the  Mannerheim line but with no effectiveness. Russian artillery camp at BD14 + BE14. Defend it.

8) Russian ground atack force with the new T44 and KV1 tanks and Katyusha rocket louchers are heading to  Mannerheim line at BE 15. Defend It.

9) Germans are trying to send a convoy to secure and supply a empty airfield at BC16, we need to destroy that convoy.

10) A German Ships BattleGroup with uknow size and type of ships found a way into Gulf of Finland and now is a great threat to all coast allied forces and allied bases at ilands and coast, they will be closing to guns range at the end of day or early at night. We need to destroy it. Last known position a was AA10. The command sugests long range torpedo atacks to minimize AAA threat.

11) Russian are in huge fight trying to mantain control of Oranienbaum Pocket, wich is indispensable for Leningrad port defense. Red army are organizing a defense group at BF9 to try to stop a atack group coming from a German fortified position at BE 8. The inteligence report a german armor units leaving Kingisep (AY4) to reinforce the german atack and try to reach the coast line at Petergof.
A agent has the route plan in hands and we have some details of it
0700 Departure from Kingisep.
~ 0900 Crossing Bol. Ozartitsyi (BB5)
~ 0949 Crossing Chirkovitsyi (BB6)
~ 1126 Regrouping at (BD6)
~ 1234 Refueling at Cheremyikino (BE7) and brefing for atack
~ 1413 Bypass the fortified german position and start the final push to reinforce the blocked Panzer group at BE8. If we not destroy the german reinforcement convoy we should destroy the BE8.6 bridge to avoide the main atack reach our position.
~ 1440 Atack the fortified russian position at BF9 pushing the atack foward to Petergof if group still capable.

If we failed to destroy the reinforcment group we should destroy the bridge just north of their strong position to block their pass. We need to defend the Petergof factories at all costs.

12)There a group of ISUs-152 and KV1s heavy tanks are runing to the russian position to try to reinforce it. It should be arriving the local just few minutes before the german atack starts. It is leaving from Shlisselburg BM 10 at 0700
? Razmetelevo
?  kolpino
~ 1043 Puskin
~ 1337 Petergof, refueling and imediate departure to BF8 position.

13) There is a russian Supply Train stoped at BJ 9 waiting railroad repair. Defend It.

14) A group of the new russian tanks KV1s and T44, at BH18, are russhing to take a important bridge and rush into Kiviniemi fortified position  (BG 18)
Some tanks already crossed the bridge but the main force is still preparing to cross. There is a german group with trops and armor running to reinforce that position coming by the road from north. Destroy the Germa strike forces and the german position, convoy and armor formations inbound from North.
We should expect reinforcements from both sides all the morning. They will try to break through with brute force.
Reussians are sending the new tanks KV1s and T44s  from Valkjarvi and Rautu Sosnovo to reinforce the position.
Germans are sending the Panzer IVJs from Humalainen, Pyhajarvi Plodovoe and Noiterma Solovivevka.
